Health Reform

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), also known as “The Affordable Care Act” (ACA), is a massive piece of legislation containing more than 20,000 pages of law and regulation. Many parts of this law went into effect in 2010, but the majority of the regulations begin on January 1, 2014.

Now that the United States Supreme Court has ruled this legislation constitutional, as a member of the health insurance industry, we are compelled to share important information regarding the law with the general public as well as our clients.

Please understand that even though this is a Federal mandate, affecting all states nationwide, individual states will have DIFFERENT guidelines, and rules for many circumstances.

For your convenience we have separated additional information into four categories.
