Large Employer Health Care Reform. If it is possible to say a 20,000 page piece of legislation has two primary mandates, one would be any citizen of the United States must have “Essential” benefit health insurance effective January 1, 2014 or pay a fine, and two, ANY employer with 100 or more employees must provide “Essential“ health benefits to their employees or pay a fine of either $2000 or $3000 per employee. The law is not really this simple, but this is the basic principle.
